![]() ![]() I guess I should elaborate on what I am trying to make, I am trying to replace the floppy drive with a flash chip like a SD card. Near as I can tell, all the controls for reading and writing come from the main computer via the serial MFM data line. The drive is pretty dumb, it doesn't modify the data at all. ![]() encripted, so that it is in the final format that will be recorded to the floppy disk. Basically it is a serial communication that is a combined data and clock signal, i.e. Mostly pinouts and some info on the data transfer method which the most current (for the last 10-15 years) should be Modified Frequency Modulation (MFM). I have been looking all over the net for a couple of days and have only found basic information on the floppy disk controller communication method. Thanks, I have already read over that website, it's interesting and useful for what it covers. ![]()
